Mela Ferrer (Madrid, 1960) is a Spanish painter, engraver and printer. He began his artistic training at the School of Applied Arts and then continued his training at the Faculty of Fine Arts of San Fernando where he graduated in the specialty of intaglio engraving.
His work is considered the heir of abstract formalism.
He has made exhibitions in different Spanish and international galleries such as the Bat Gallery, the GaleriaArteko or the Divine Art Gallery, among others.
Mela Ferrer's work is found in numerous museums and collections such as the Juan March Foundation, the National Calcography, the Bella Piñeiro Museum and the BBVA Foundation.
He received an Honorable Mention in the Bello Piñeiro Engraving Prize and a Special Mention in the XII Internacional Máximo Ramos Engraving Competition.
