José Luis Alexanco (Madrid, 1942) is a Spanish painter, engraver and sculptor. He studied drawing and engraving at the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando, in Madrid. He is considered one of the promoters of the experiments.
His honors include the National Print Prize awarded by the Directorate-General of Fine Arts and the National Sculpture Prize at the March Salon in Valencia.
He was subsequently tasked by the Ministry of Culture with designing the prince´s edition of the Spanish Constitution of 1978.
His work is represented in numerous important national and international museums such as the Reina Sofía National Art Center Museum in Madrid, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Caracas, the Muzeum Narodowe in Poland and the Museum of Modern Art in Spiritu Santo of Brazil.
